WHO IS THE SCHOOL OF CAPTAINS SUITABLE FOR?
Those who need an international yacht license IYT to rent sailing yachts in different countries.
BASIC INFORMATION:
Captains School - this is a skipper training course where students learn to sail a cruising sailing yacht.
IYT (International Yacht Training) - one of the most popular and recognized training systems for yacht captains in the world.
Durationintegrity: 14 days.
Number of participants: no more than 5 people.
Basic marina: Tivat, Montenegro.
Requirements: minimum experience of sailing on any sailing yachts.

- join to our training and travels,
- pass the Course for beginner yachtsmen at Bora Sailing Club (intensive format for 4 days).
SCHEDULE:
DAY 1: meeting and getting to know the group; we remember everything we know: terminology, armament and disarmament of the boat, guiding the yacht to the target (against the wind, in the Gulf, full courses); stopping and accelerating the boat; in general, we recall the entire program of the J/70 course for beginner yachtsmen .
DAY 2: safety equipment; types of motors: electric motor and gasoline engine; mooring and unmooring under the motor: log, stern and bow; crew placement during mooring; guiding the yacht to the target; stopping at the target; reversing.
DAY 3: sailing only under the mainsail and only under the jib; windward and leeward gennaker cleaning; rescue of man overboard; mooring and unmooring under sails.
DAY 4 : practicing the exercises completed in the previous lesson; rescuing a man overboard if a gennaker is standing.
DAY 5 : broaching and exit from it; full cleaning of the jib; steering the boat using a roll; practicing moorings and man overboard maneuvers.
DAY 6 : work with a VHF radio station, navigation, weather forecasting and preparing the crew for going to sea; solving emergency situations; working on the main mistakes of students; exam preparation.
DAY 7 : passing the exam to obtain a club license.
