Yachting in Barcelona: From Exclusive to Accessible for Everyone

Yachting in Barcelona is deeply rooted in the city’s maritime history. As one of the key ports of the Mediterranean, Barcelona has been connected to sailing for centuries. From the 19th and 20th centuries onward, a structured sailing culture began to develop, eventually forming a strong club-based system. While this made yachting prestigious, it also created barriers for beginners.

For a long time, entering sailing in Barcelona required club membership or prior experience, which made the sport feel inaccessible to newcomers.

Today, this is changing.

At Bora Sailing Club, it is possible to try yachting in Barcelona with no experience and no need to join a private club. Training is fully practical from the very first session, with real sailing on the water where participants learn to handle the boat, work with sails, and understand wind conditions.

The pricing is simple and transparent. A single session costs €60 per person. If you come as a group, you can book a full boat for up to 4 people for €210. For regular training, there are packages: an 8-session personal membership costs €430, while an 8-session crew package for up to 4 people costs €1520.

This structure makes yachting in Barcelona more accessible, allowing people to start without large upfront commitments.

Every boat is supervised by a professional instructor, and life jackets are provided for all participants. Training takes place in real sea conditions, but with full safety control.

As a result, sailing in Barcelona is no longer limited to club members or experienced sailors. It becomes a step-by-step process where anyone can start from zero, gain real experience on the water, and gradually develop their skills through practice and participation in sailing sessions and regattas. Waiting for you in our club and see you on the water!
